On this adventure, we decided to travel from London to Paris to enjoy the french patisserie, visit the sights, marvel at the architecture, and enjoy the weather.

This time we opted for the Eurostar rather than taking a plane. The Eurostar is a much more convenient and comfortable way to travel between London and mainland Europe, and you don't have to worry about luggage weight or liquid restrictions as when traveling on a plane.

We recommend booking your tickets in advance to save money and find the best dates for you. The Eurostar connects London King's Cross railway station to Paris Gare du Nord. One of the other advantages of traveling by train is that you arrive in the city center rather than having to spend more time traveling from the airport to the city. From Gare du Nord you can access the M4, and M5 metro lines and RER B, D, and E (which is the regional train system).

The journey takes around two and a half hours, but the beautiful views outside and having internet through the journey made the time fly so quickly.

Once you arrive in Paris we recommend getting a "Navigo Easy Pass" which is a rechargeable transport card that you can top up from your mobile phone using the "Bonjour RATP" mobile app. We suggest purchasing ten tickets initially even if you are there for less than a week.

We stayed at a hotel located in the "11e Arrondissement" a nice neighborhood with loads of restaurants and excellent metro connections. The average hotel prices in Paris are a bit high compared to other cities worldwide, but booking early can help you secure a good deal.

Our five-day trip allowed us to see the main sights of Paris, but we are eager to return and explore more of the city and enjoy more delicious food.
